Burghound (90-92)
A spicy but restrained nose speaks of exotic tea, lilac, black raspberry and a hint of wood. There is a seductive texture to the supple medium-bodied flavors that possess fine mid-palate density before culminating in a dusty and palate coating finish. This should drink well young but reward up to a decade of cellar time as well.HK$27,000.00 -
Wine Advocate (92)
Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers felt a little reduced on the nose -- though that is common with infant Gouges. At the moment it compromises the wine's definition, which is a pity as there is attractive red cherry and redcurrant fruit waiting to surface. That will be addressed with bottle age. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, some chewiness that will dissipate with time and good depth. It feels a little chunky and uncouth towards the finish although it does improve and gain more cohesion in the glass. Time should meliorate this wine, so afford it 3-4 years in bottle. Tasted September 2016.HK$6,700.00 -
Exuding the epitome of Burgundian excellence, Jean-Marc Bouley Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets 2013 is considered a gem in the world of fine wines. Hailing from the revered Caillerets vineyard in Volnay, an acclaimed sub-region of Burgundy, this Pinot Noir exhibits distinct complexities. Jean-Marc Bouley, a respected third-generation vigneron, meticulously oversees the winemaking process, yielding this luxurious vintage.
Touted for the strict non-interventionist methodology deployed through the vinification process, the Jean-Marc Bouley Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets 2013 features hand-harvested grapes, ensuring impeccable quality. A 15-month sojourn in French oak barrels amplifies depth to the wine's aromatics and enriches the palate. The resulting taste profile is redolent with cherry, redcurrant undertones and a remarkable mineral-driven finish.
Demonstrating admirable age-worthiness, this vintage whispers narratives of its prestigious lineage with every sip. The Jean-Marc Bouley Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets 2013 promises an indulgent Burgundy experience for devoted connoisseurs and discerning collectors alike.

Wine Advocate (88-90)
The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru les Chaignots has darker fruit on the nose than the village cru: blackberry and raspberry, light sous-bois scents emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly lactic entry, hints of mocha lining the red berry fruit with quite a forward, sumptuous finish that comes as a surprise given the vintage. This may improve once in bottle.HK$9,000.00 -
Burghound (90-93)
An appealingly fresh nose is composed of essence of pear, floral and white peach aromas that are trimmed in a touch of citrus. The vibrant and impressively detailed flavors deliver ample power and punch on the intense and impressively persistent finish.HK$11,000.00
