Experience a remarkable bottling from the respected cellars of Michel Gros with the Hautes Cotes de Nuits Fontaine Saint Martin Blanc 2016. Originating from Burgundy, France, this white wine is an astounding vintage, synonymous with Gros' family tradition of excellence cultivated since 1830. The intricately layered bouquet is provided by the terroir-reflective Chardonnay grapes, diligently hand-harvested to ensure optimum maturity and quality. Aged for a year in lightly toasted barrels, the result is an expressive, elegant, and meticulously balanced wine. Delicate, yet rich, flavours of citrus and honey mingle with the buttery undertones, culminating in a seamlessly smooth finish. A quintessential companion to seafood and white meat dishes, Michel Gros Hautes Cotes de Nuits Fontaine Saint Martin Blanc 2016 is a captivating Bleu Blanc Rouge revelation that continues the family heritage of novel, pristine Chardonnay wines.

Mollydooker's 2018 Carnival of Love Shiraz is more red-fruited and structured than I expected, given the wine's stated 16% alcohol. Raspberries and cedar mark the nose, with hints of chocolate, espresso and baking spices. In the mouth, it's full-bodied, dense and powerful, with ripe but firm tannins supporting the bright berry flavors, then easing into a long, velvety and mouthwatering finish. It should drink well for around a decade, but if you're shy of tannins, you may want to wait another year or two before opening.HK$3,250.00 -

Mollydooker's 2018 The Boxer Shiraz delivers what fans of this producer have come to expect: huge fruit, plenty of ripeness, tasty oak and oodles of flavor. Cedar, chocolate and mint accent cola, plum and berry fruit on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is round, supple and expansive. It's creamy-ripe, yet the wine ends silky and mouthwatering.HK$2,850.00 -

The only one of the Mollydooker wines that even hints at needing some bottle age is the 2016 Velvet Glove Shiraz. Hints of hay or alfalfa mark the nose, along with huge raspberry and blueberry fruit. It's full-bodied, rich and tannic on the palate, picking up hints of chocolate and raisin on the long finish. I wouldn't suggest cellaring it too long, in case the dried-fruit notes come too much to the fore.HK$2,000.00 -

A prodigious, decadently rich effort, Oliverhill’s 2003 Shiraz Jimmy Section (15% alcohol) is a 100% Shiraz aged in French oak, of which one-third is new. It offers up a luxurious aromatic display of loamy earth, new saddle leather, blackberry liqueur, charcoal, and barbecue spices. Layered, chewy, full-bodied, and opulent with extravagant richness, sweet, supple tannin, and low acidity, this is a knock-out Shiraz to drink over the next 5-12 years.HK$1,388.00 -
Indulge your senses with the Robert Sirugue Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015. Exclusive to the famed Bourgogne region in France, this wine displays the fine artistry of the Sirugue family, renowned vintners in Vosne-Romanée. This Pinot Noir boasts an enticingly velvet ruby hue, a testament to its meticulous vinification process.
The grapes are manually harvested at optimal maturity, carefully selected before a gentle destemming and fermentation. This diligent process imparts an evocative bouquet of ripe cherries, redcurrants, and hints of spice on the palate. Complex yet elegantly balanced, this dry red wine enchants with a measured acidity and tannins that extend into a smooth finish.
Robert Sirugue Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015 exemplifies decades of winemaking heritage, a truly splendid addition to any connoisseur's collection. From the first sip, you'll experience a taste of French luxury that compels sophistry and sophistication. Enjoy this exquisite wine in all its glory.

James Suckling (97)
An outstanding grenache from old bush vines in the Smart Vineyard, perched up on the Clarendon ridge line. This has an edge of white pepper and pomegranate with notes of bright raspberries and fresh leaves. This wine fuses elegance and power with a sleekly defined palate that carries real intensity in 2018. The structure is keenly tailored. Long and taut, red-fruit finish. Drink or hold.
