Vinous (92-94)
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru has an intense, powerful bouquet of red and black fruit and undergrowth; touches of menthol develop with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, good structure and matière, and saline on the midpalate, leading to a grippy, quite assertive finish. Good aging potential.HK$8,320.00 -
Decanter (94)
A blend of Sangiovese grapes from Podernovone - which lies at 500 metres above sea level on the southeast hillside of Montalcino with a southwest exposure - and Canalicchio on the northern side of the village. The vines were planted in 1998 for the former vineyard, and in 1989 for the latter. 'Our Rosso is produced by the same grapeas as Brunello,' said Laura Brunelli. This new 2019 bottling is more concentrated than the lighter 2018, and more balanced than the warm 2017. This wine, traditionally aged in large oak vessels for one year, is extremely fresh and not without complexity. Red currants, wild strawberry, black pepper and juniper aromas are followed by a brightness of savoury red fruits on the medium-bodied palate. It has velvety tannins and refreshing, integrated acidity. A really great interpretation of the terroir.HK$1,890.00 -
Clearly a richer, more powerful Gevrey Chambertin expression. Without necessarily the elegance of the Corbeau it is still well built and balanced a fine, muscular Gevrey-Chambertin. A wine of remarkable style and purity with excellent concentration and intensity.HK$6,800.00 -

Danish pastries and roasted plums on the nose, very sweet and spicy. Fleshy and opulent on the palate, with great intensity of fruit. The tannins build and offer depth, structure and savour. Long and expansive on the finish.HK$4,800.00 -
Burghound (91)
A ripe yet agreeably elegant, pure and airy nose consists of dark currant, spice, lavender, earth and a pretty range of floral nuances. The equally pure mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors possess a really lovely sense of underlying tension while delivering fine persistence on the sappy, balanced and solidly complex finish. This youthfully austere effort is shaped by similar but denser fine-grained tannins while offering better depth. This too is lovely and well-worth checking out.HK$4,550.00
