Vinous (88-90)
The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos de la Maréchale 1er Cru has a pretty, floral nose with pressed rose petal filtering through the red fruit. Transparent. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, light for a Premier Cru yet quite vivacious with finely chiselled tannins towards the tart finish. Will be difficult to resist young.HK$6,580.00 -
Vinous (92)
The 2011 Nuits St. Georges Les Hauts Porrets is beautifully centered focused. Here it is the wine's density and power that stand out most. Hints of leather, plum, mint and sweet spices add complexity in an impeccable, utterly delicious Burgundy. It's all there in the 2011 Les Hauts Porrets.HK$6,860.00 -
Vinous (90-93)
Remarkably vivid in the glass, the 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Hauts Porrets is super-impressive. Black cherries, menthol and spices are some of the many notes that come alive in an outrageously beautiful Burgundy loaded with tons of potential. I can't wait to taste this from bottle.HK$7,405.00 -
Vinous (89)
Bright dark red. Brisk, tight nose hints at dark fruits and minerals. In a juicy but very dry style, and distinctly imploded today. This tannic, slightly hard-edged wine is tough going. A puzzling showing: my score gives it the benefit of some doubt.HK$7,040.00 -
Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (90-93)
Bright, dark ruby-red. Very pure, vibrant aromas of kirsch, blackberry, licorice and cocoa powder. Strongly mineral-driven on the palate but not aggressive, with concentrated dark fruit and saline flavors complemented but not overshadowed by the 100% oak. Finishes with fine-grained tannins and lovely floral persistence. Gilles Jayer told me that this climat on thin soil over rock belongs entirely to him and to Domaine Machard de Gramont and really merits premier cru classification. My notes and scores on this cuvée over the past 15 to 20 years suggest that he's right.HK$6,860.00 -

Vinous (91-93)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Bousselots 1er Cru veers much more toward red fruit on the nose, hints of meat juice and garrigue emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, quite saline and cohesive, leading to an energetic, peppery finish that lingers. Another promising NSG from Chauvenet.HK$3,350.00 -
Jancis Robinson (17+)
Deep cherry red. Intense black fruit and savoury/stony restraint combined. All in embryo, like the Perrières but here the tannins are even firmer. The core is serious dark fruit and some oak spice but it is not intrusive even if it adds a note of dark chocolate to the aroma as it opens in the glass. Fine tannins slightly thickened by the oak but smooth and in harmony with the fruit. Long, savoury finish. (JH)HK$4,445.00 -
Burghound (91-94)
Outstanding - This is aromatically quite similar to the Perrières if perhaps just a bit earthier. The slightly larger scaled flavors are surprisingly supple on the mid-palate that contrasts materially with the firm tannins on the compact and youthfully austere finish. This is less powerful and forbidding than normal, though with that said, it's still sufficiently structured to reward 12 to 15 years of aging.HK$3,920.00 -
Burghound (91-93)
Ripe yet cool aromas include those of cassis, poached plum, an array of spice elements plus a whiff of the sauvage. The very rich and even bigger and more voluminous large-scaled flavors also brim with sappy dry extract before culminating in a balanced, powerful and lingering finish where a touch of bitter chocolate slowly emerges. This isn’t massive in the way that it usually is though it is borderline opulent, which is a descriptor I use very rarely with respect to the 2021 reds.HK$3,695.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (92-95)
Rich purple, an even colour throughout the glass. Robust red fruit. There is a fine depth of flavour and some class here, plump in the middle, juicy and long, filling the mouth again, while keeping a mineral fresh feel too.HK$3,200.00 -
Jancis Robinson (16.5)
Mid crimson. Deep-fruited and much more perfumed than the straight village Nuits-St-Georges. A marked step up in finesse. Dry, finely chalky tannins. Sinewy but elegant with that perfume on the long finish. Impressive persistence. (JH)HK$2,945.00 -
Burghound (88-91)
A subtle but not imperceptible application of wood can be found on the ripe and fresh aromas of poached plum, fennel and soft earth nuances. The rich, concentrated and palate coating medium-bodied flavors are shaped by relatively refined tannins on the lightly stony, punch and youthfully austere finale. Worth considering.HK$3,000.00 -

Vinous (92-94)
The 2010 Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots comes across as weighty and substantial, especially after the Roncières. Black cherries, plums, graphite, menthol, flowers and deep, exotic spices meld together impressively in this totally striking wine. The Boudots boasts tremendous textural depth and intensity all the way through to the round, sensual finish. At times it comes across as very Vosne-like, hardly a surprise given that Boudots lies next to Malconsorts.HK$34,205.00 -
Vinous (92)
The 2011 Nuits St. Georges Aux Boudots seems to bring together elements of both preceding wines, namely the floral notes, red-toned fruit and silky tannins of the Pruliers, with the volume and richness of the Roncières. All the elements are beautifully balanced in this decidedly harmonious Nuits. Slight elements of greenness run through the fruit, but they are not dominant.HK$15,570.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru has one of the most vivacious bouquets of the range, featuring shimmering red cherries, wild strawberry, bergamot and hints of Earl Grey coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine, filigreed tannin, silky-smooth texture and a slightly savory, persistent finish. A supremely well crafted wine from Grivot.HK$8,700.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru comes from the old part of the vineyard, half of which was replanted in spring 2017 (these young vines may reenter this cru next year, or more likely the Bourgogne Rouge until they reach maturity). The crisp, fresh, well-defined bouquet is probably the best among Grivot’s Nuits Saint-Georges this year, reflecting the pedigree of this vineyard. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive mineralité and tension, quite "strict" in style but boasting so much coiled-up energy on the finish that you could easily drink it now. This is a superb offering that should age with grace and style over many years.HK$12,195.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru is gentler on the nose compared to the Pruliers, scents of wild strawberry, raspberry, crushed limestone and light ferrous aromas unfolding from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with quite a sweet entry. This has a lot of sucrosity and energy. Powerful and vivacious toward the saline finish, which reveals touches of boysenberry and black cherries and lingers for 45 seconds. Superb.HK$12,000.00 -

Vinous (91-93)
The 2011 Nuits St. Georges Les Pruliers is unusually refined and polished for a young Pruliers. Sweet dark cherries, exotic spices, licorice and mint are all layered together beautifully in this silky, polished Burgundy. Medium in body, the Pruliers achieves a rare balance of fruit, acidity and tannin that is remarkable. I imagine the 2011 will drink well relatively early as it is so harmonious, but there is also clearly potential for aging.HK$12,215.00 -
Wine Advocate (92)
Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers has a refined bouquet with undergrowth-infused red berry fruit, a little rustic but charming and expressive. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp red cherry and strawberry fruit, fine tannin and prudent use of oak. There is focus and precision here, decent length and class. This is a top-notch and utterly delightful Nuits Saint-Georges in the making, surpassing my estimation in barrel. Tasted September 2016.HK$4,860.00 -
Wine Advocate (92-94)
The 2014 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Pruliers was much more backward on the nose compared to the 2014 les Roncières when I tasted it at the domaine; this is broody and a bit sulky at the moment. The palate is more expressive with fine, saturated tannin. The new oak is a little more prominent here and will need time to be absorbed, but there is plenty of fruité and density on the finish; plus there is tangible mineralité and indeed, spiciness on the finish that has more concentration than Etienne Grivot's other Nuits-Saint-Georges. Superb.HK$6,500.00 -
Burghound (91-94)
This is riper still with liqueur-like dark berry fruit aromas that are liberally laced with spice, earth and game nuances. There is outstanding richness and volume to the seductively textured mid-palate that contrasts markedly with the firm, serious and ever-so-mildly rustic finale that is very Nuits in character.HK$6,780.00 -

Vinous (92-94)
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has a gorgeous bouquet of generous red berry fruit, Earl Grey, pressed white flowers and just a slight orange blossom aroma. The palate is sweet on the entry, offering vibrant red cherry and strawberry fruit. Mineralité floods through the wine on the persistent finish. Yet another scintillating contribution from this vineyard.HK$5,495.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-95)
Deep mid red, and with more red fruit on the palate too, slightly more co2, quite strict for the vintage, but I like the balance and intensity, a little touch of liquorice with the red fruit.HK$5,210.00 -
Vinous (93-95)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru, which has one of the highest degrees of alcohol, also has the most tension and mineralité on the nose among Grivot’s cuvées from this commune. Black cherries, raspberry, blood orange and crushed stone soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with firm grip, very minerally and tensile, displaying superb delineation and transparency toward the finish. Very long aftertaste. You can really feel the terroir in this wine. Superb.HK$6,385.00HK$6,235.00
