Vinous (93-95)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru, which has one of the highest degrees of alcohol, also has the most tension and mineralité on the nose among Grivot’s cuvées from this commune. Black cherries, raspberry, blood orange and crushed stone soar from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with firm grip, very minerally and tensile, displaying superb delineation and transparency toward the finish. Very long aftertaste. You can really feel the terroir in this wine. Superb.HK$6,385.00HK$6,235.00 -
Tim Atkin MW (94)
Showing deeply ripe fruit notes, there's even a touch of dried plums here alongside the cassis, underbrush and graphite. The oak is discreet and allows the verbose aromatics to dominate the solid finish that tingles with acidic refreshment. 2023-34HK$17,990.00 -

Vinous (93-95)
The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has a very pure and generous bouquet with red cherries, crushed strawberry and minerals. Laser-like focus. The palate displays fine tannins, wonderful focused with a very precise, citrus-fresh finish. Lovely balance - a stylish Nuits Saint-Georges.HK$7,440.00 -
Burghound (91-93)
As it should, this presently has an entirely different aromatic profile with its ripe and fresh combination of earth and sauvage characters together with both red and dark currant scents. Here too there is really lovely mouth feel to the tautly muscular flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the energetic, detailed and beautifully persistent finish. This is also admirably seamless and should amply reward extended keeping.HK$9,615.00 -
Burghound (90-93)
Cool and airy notes of tiny wild berries are complemented by hints of the sauvage, floral, spice and warm earth. There is good volume to the nicely refined middle weight flavors that are at once succulent yet powerful, all wrapped in a lingering and balanced finale. This will need to depth with time in bottle but the underlying material appears to be present for that to occur.HK$5,655.00 -
Decanter (93)
This half-hectare holding in Aux Roncières, to the south of the village, is gently handled to produce a dark, cassis-scented fruit, with savoury, earthy notes of a slightly rustic nature which is very typically of Nuits. The tannins are firm and rugged, plus there is a rewarding mineral depth that comes out on the finish.HK$6,850.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (93-95)
5 Stars. Bright red crimson colour with very juicy red berry fruit on the nose, this has abundant energy and makes one salivate. There is its habitual garrigue touch at the back then a second helping of sweet raspberry fruit, Impeccable structure, a really interesting complex and refreshing wine. Gourmand in the best sense. The fruit just keeps coming back behind. A stunning result from a lesser known 1er Cru. Drink from 2028-2036.HK$8,400.00 -

Vinous (91-93)
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières comes across a bit moody and sullen from barrel, especially after the livelier Les Charmois. Raspberry and wild strawberry scents eventually emerge, albeit reluctantly. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Very poised and quite mineral-driven, this conveys fine energy and a satisfying sense of strictness toward the black-pepper-tinged finish. Excellent.HK$4,500.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières is initially tight on the nose, opening slowly to offer black cherries, blueberry and clementine peel. The palate is medium-bodied with a mixture of red and black fruit, and refreshingly saline in the mouth, particularly on the oyster-shell-tinged finish. Plenty of energy here, even if it’s not the best Grivot Nuits Saint-Georges this vintage.HK$4,540.00 -
Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (90-92)
A touch deeper in colour than the Vosne, but not markedly so, A darker fruit, a sighting of the traditional Nuits-St-Georges plums along with the fresher raspberry of this vintage. Fuller bodied than the Vosne-Romanée, perhaps a little less finesse, so both are true to their appellations. Well managed tannins to finish, and persistent. Drink from 2025-2031.HK$4,200.00 -
Vinous (91-93)
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Charmois comes from a cold terroir that confers an advantage in this kind of growing season. It has a very fragrant, well-defined bouquet of red cherries, crushed strawberry and orange pith. Not complex, but there is lovely purity here. The palate is medium-bodied with quite fine, sharp tannins. There is good tension and mineralité in this Les Charmois, and the saline finish gets the saliva flowing. Excellent.HK$12,755.00 -
Vinous (91-93)
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Charmois has slightly more red fruit than the Aux Lavières, hints of potpourri and lavender complementing the cranberry jus and red currants; more cassis aromas develop later. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very sensual and harmonious. The sorbet-fresh finish delivers black cherry fruit laced with citrus fruits. Very fine.HK$6,405.00 -
Vinous (93)
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Argillats 1er Cru has a lovely, vivacious and generous bouquet of dark cherries, violet, hints of meat juices and brown spices. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, and quite strict and linear at the moment, but I appreciate the depth and persistence on the aftertaste. One that is saving itself for later.HK$6,110.00 -
Vinous (91-93)
The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Argillats 1er Cru has quite a backward yet precise nose, dark cherries, iodine and violet scents. Good definition but surly at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins, taut and fresh, quite saline on the finish but the compactness of this cuvée suggests that it will need 4-5 years in bottle.HK$6,970.00 -
Vinous (90-92)
The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Argillats 1er Cru has a ripe, pastille-like bouquet with perfumed violet scents filtering through the wild strawberry and Tayberry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, bright red berry fruit, raspberry and strawberry, white pepper and orange rind furnishing the cohesive, though not powerful finish. Maybe it just needs a little more persistence on the aftertaste.HK$7,965.00 -
Vinous (92-94)
Matured in around 40% new oak, the 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Au Bas de Combe Vieilles Vignes has a very controlled, focused bouquet of raspberry and bilberry fruit, beautifully defined and very terroir-expressive. The palate is well balanced and stylistically equidistant between Nuits Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, betraying its geographical location. The 85-year-old vines impart great concentration but also immense quality, more Premier Cru than Village Cru. Superb.HK$3,465.00 -
Vinous (89)
Good full red. Wild, musky, slightly reduced aromas of dark berries, leather and meat. Very round and seamless, with strong notes of oaky torrefaction. Shows less fruit vibrancy than the Beaux Monts and comes across as more aggressive--and decadent--on the back end. Plenty of power and palate-saturating tannins here.HK$12,255.00 -
Wine Advocate (91-93)
The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Aux Boudots, matured in 50% new oak, has a similar bouquet to the les Fleurières, but here the fruit is one of Confuron’s few that nudges more toward the red side of the fruit spectrum. The palate is silky smooth on the entry with a fine line of acidity. There is ample freshness here, a buxom Vosne endowed with sensuality and purity on the finish.HK$13,550.00 -

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy (91-94)
Destemmed after the drought so as not to stress further. Assembled in tank. Fine mid purple. Another really attractive perfumed nose, they do seem to have hit the picking dates just right at J-J Confuron this year. Much more red than black fruit, extremely juicy, enough generosity here, some tannins to finish, but the fruit is the clear winner. Tasted: December 2021HK$6,660.00 -
