  • Clos L'Eglise Pomerol 2022 (6x75cl)

    The Wine Independent (95-97)

The 2022 Clos L'Eglise, 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color. It features straight-laced, classic scents of warm black plums, blueberry preserves, and cedar chest, leading to suggestions of iron ore, Sichuan pepper, and fertile loam. The full-bodied palate is wonderfully bright and pure, with fresh black fruits and earthy accents supported by very firm, very ripe tannins and finishing long and mineral-laced. 1.5 ha of Merlot is being replanted, so there is a higher percentage of Cabernet Franc this year, which really lends a shine to the wine! pH 3.75.

  • De Sales 1996 (10x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (79)

Although it is a pleasant, medium ruby-colored wine, the 1996 De Sales is dry in the finish. It reveals ripe cherry fruit intermixed with dusty earthy elements as well as a suggestion of roasted nuts. Drink it over the next 3-4 years.

  • De Sales 2020 (12x75cl)

    Vinous - Neal Martin (84-86)

The 2020 Château de Sales has a little greenness on the nose, but it’s fresh with attractive black currant fruit. You’d just think it came from a much cooler growing season. The medium-bodied palate offers dry tannins, touches of leathery black fruit and a slightly bitter finish. Hopefully this will gain more cohesion during barrel aging.

  • De Sales 2021 (6x75cl)

    Vinous - Neal Martin (84-86)

The 2021 Château de Sales has a light, tertiary bouquet that needs more fruit concentration. The palate is balanced but light, with just a touch of herbaceousness. An early-drinking Pomerol.

  • Domaine de L'Eglise Pomerol 2009 (12x75cl)

    Vinous - Ian D'Agata (87-90)

Good deep red with ruby highlights. Delicate aromas of blackcurrant, dark plum and spices on the floral, perfumed nose. Suave and smooth, with a refined, pure quality to the redcurrant, cedar and tobacco flavors. Hardly a blockbuster, this very nicely balanced wine finishes smooth, with fine-grained, pliant tannins. This rather delicate wine should offer plenty of early pleasure.

  • Domaine de la Pointe Pomerol 2016 (6x75cl)

    James Suckling (93)

This is a very solid Pomerol with a nice balance of fine, dry tannins with well-judged ripeness. But the red-fruit character is a bit shy and a couple of years are probably needed for it to open up fully. Long and complex, dry finish. Drink or hold.

  • Enclos Tourmaline 2016 (3x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (96+)

The 2016 Enclos Tourmaline was fermented entirely in 100% new 225-liter French oak barrels and it was aged for 20 months. Deep garnet-purple colored, it features baked plums, Black Forest cake and exotic spices with cigar box and menthol. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, grainy and fresh with great muscle in the mid-palate, finishing long and spicy. 250 cases produced.

  • Enclos Tourmaline 2018 (3x75cl)

    Jeb Dunnuck (96-99)

From a miniscule one-hectare parcel right across from Clinet, on the upper plateau of Pomerol, the 2018 Enclos Tourmaline is a blockbuster in the making, and I suspect it’s going to give the 2016 a run for its money. Checking in as a 100% Merlot raised in new oak, which hit 14.7% natural alcohol, this inky color blockbuster boasts a massive bouquet of black fruits, smoke herbs, chocolate, and damp earth. It shows a more floral edge with time in the glass and it’s full-bodied, concentrated, and plush on the palate, with sweet tannins. It’s certainly one of the sexiest wines in this terrific vintage. Hats off to vineyard manager and winemaker Jérôme Aguirre as well as consultant Michel Rolland for another brilliant wine in the making. Tasted twice.

  • Enclos Tourmaline 2019 (3x75cl)

    Jeb Dunnuck (95-98)

There's not much of the 2019 Enclos Tourmaline made, but it's a sensational wine in the making. Coming from a tiny one-hectare parcel next to Clinet, this inky purple-hued effort offers a wonderfully complex, vibrant bouquet of black raspberries, crème de cassis, licorice, toasted spices, and classy oak. Full-bodied, pure, and elegant, yet powerful on the palate, it has good acidity, remarkable purity (there's no overripeness here), sound underlying structure, and a great finish. It’s another brilliant, heavenly Pomerol from 2019.

  • Esperance de Trotanoy 2015 (6x75cl)
  • Esperance de Trotanoy 2016 (6x75cl)
Espérance de Trotanoy is the second wine of Château Trotanoy. This Merlot-dominated wine is made from vines averaging 35 years. Espérance de Trotanoy is made from the same vines, same wine-making team and same facilities as the first wine. It is produced in very limited quantities and only in exceptional years. It is vinified in small concrete vats and aged in French oak barrels.

This 2016 has a darkly berried, gently leafy nose, with pure violet aromatics. The palate is textured, with dried-earth minerality, lifted by arching acidity, which makes this hugely approachable and perhaps offers a glimpse into the character of Trotanoy 2016 itself in years to come. There is more than enough ageing potential and tannic rigour here to see this through a decade and more.

  • Esperance de Trotanoy 2018 (6x75cl)
  • Evangile 2012 (6x75cl)

    The Wine Cellar Insider (94-96)

The Merlot was picked from September 20 through October 9. The Cabernet Franc was harvested over 2 days, October 6 and October 8. From a blend of 93% Merlot with 7% Cabernet Franc, this is one of the highest percentages of Merlot in the estate’s history. However, this was not due to the lack of ripeness in the Cabernet Franc. Much of the Cabernet Franc was replanted starting in 2006. It is expected that the estate will be using closer to 20% Cabernet Franc in the blend starting in 2020. The wine reached 14.4% alcohol with a pH of 3.7. Yields were low at 31 hectoliters per hectare. Deep ruby in color, the wine exudes truffle, chocolate, plum liqueur, tobacco, smoke, roses and cherries. On the palate, the wine is pure silk and velvet in texture with volume, depth and length. Picture chocolate-covered cherries that you can eat, or drink, your choice. 94-96 Pts

  • Feytit-Clinet 2006 (12x75cl)

    Vinous - Stephen Tanzer (91)

Full red-ruby. Extravagant aromas of raspberry, iron, brown spices, tobacco, burning cinders and nutty oak. Lush, broad, ripe and dry; really saturates the palate without any impression of weight. Suave, fine-grained, horizontal wine, still a bit youthfully tight. Finishes with lovely lingering perfume.

  • Feytit-Clinet 2013 (12x75cl)

    Wine Advocate (90-92)

An unquestionable star of the vintage, this 18-acre vineyard is near Trotanoy, Latour a Pomerol and Clinet. The wine is made from 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Only 50% of the production made it into the Grand Vin label. Surprisingly it sports a lofty 13.4% natural alcohol. Deep ruby/purple, with notes of plum, blackcurrant, black cherry, incense and camphor, the wine shows surprising depth, a reasonably broad, succulent mouthfeel and a luscious, impressive finish. This is atypically rich, juicy and succulent for a 2013. Drink it over the next decade or more.
