The 2022 Château Lynch-Bages is based on 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 3% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Its inky purple hue is followed by a sensational Pauillac that has a blockbuster (and classic Lynch-Bages) style in its darker currants, smoke tobacco, lead pencil, and crushed stone-driven aromatics. These carry to a full-bodied, powerful, massively concentrated 2022 that has a dense, layered mid-palate, velvety tannins, flawless balance, and a rare mix of power and elegance. This is a château that’s clearly firing on all cylinders, and this magical beauty will need a decade (or more) to hit the early stages of its prime drinking window. Don't miss it!HK$2,535.00 -

The 1996 Lynch-Moussas is still surprisingly deep in colour, quite limpid, with little sign of its age. The bouquet is classic ‘old school’ Pauillac with pencil shavings infusing the black fruit, touches of cold black tea and mahogany bureau. The palate is medium-bodied with an East Asian-tinged opening, hoisin and a pinch of white pepper. This displays better than expected substance and cohesion, lightly spiced on its finely-tuned and quite vigorous finish. The 1996 is drinking perfectly now and, on this showing, should give another 12-15 years of drinking pleasure.HK$2,135.00 -
Esteemed among connoisseurs, the exquisite Lynch-Moussas 1999, originating from the esteemed Lynch-Moussas château, captures the quintessence of the best Pauillac vintages. Showcasing the rich Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape blend, this wine hails from the aptly lauded Left Bank Bordeaux region of France. Distinguished by its complex and sophisticated palette, the Lynch-Moussas 1999 offers undertones of red and black fruit coupled harmoniously with hints of earth, cedar, and toasty oak. Encapsulated within each bottle is the decades-long vinification expertise of the distinguished Casteja family, who have meticulously crafted every vintage since their acquisition of the estate in 1969. Considered to be at the peak of its maturation, Lynch-Moussas 1999 represents an opportunity to savour an incomparable Pauillac wine, a jewel in the crown of French viticulture. A caveat for enthusiasts—the quantities of this outstanding vintage are limited rendering the Lynch-Moussas 1999 a staple for any discerning wine collection.

Tasted at Bordeaux Index's annual 10-Year On tasting in London and then at the château. The 2006 Château Lynch-Moussas seem mature on the nose with pleasant tobacco-tinged red berry fruit, plenty of forest floor aromas coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly stringy tannin. It is missing some weight towards the second half, but there is still adequate freshness here to suggest that it will offer several more years of drinking pleasure. Tasted April 2016.HK$4,180.00 -
