Vinous (91-94+)
Damoy's 2013 Chambertin comes across as decidedly wild and powerful in style. Juicy black cherries, mint, sage, lavender and violets flesh out as the 2013 shows off its breadth and density. Today, the Chambertin is quite raw, as the malos aren't quite finished. I suspect the 2013 will be quite a bit more complete and harmonious in a few months, once the elements meld together further. Still, the 2013 is impressive just the same.HK$18,775.00 -
Vinous (93-96)
The 2013 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze is incredibly dense at this stage. Powerful yet implosive, the 2013 is a ball of tightly wound energy. Dark cherry jam, cloves, mint and hard candy are barely developed in an embryonic Bèze that appears to have a very bright future ahead of it. The aromatics continue to soar as the wine sits in the glass, hinting at what is to come. Readers will have to be patient with this decidedly authoritative, incisive Bèze.HK$34,845.00
