The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, more sorbet-like than the Les Baudes and slightly candied towards the finish but without quite the same pedigree. However, it should still drink well for a number of years. |

It's a beautifully elegant and direct example of Chapelle-Chambertin, from a parcel planted in 1920-1921 where most of the old vines remain intact. |

That may come with time. It is not up there with the outstanding 2015 but it is still extremely fine. |

The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, demonstrating more weight and fruit intensity than its sibling Clos de la Roche. There is grip, focus and a sense of purpose whereas the Clos de la Roche seems to drink more easily. Superb. |
