The 2012 Chablis Forêt is all about texture. Describing the aromas and flavors is a bit futile, as it is the tactile sensations that captivate the senses. Persistent and silky, the 2012 boasts superb length and resonance. I imagine the Forêt will offer considerable pleasure as it develops in bottle over the next two decades. Bright, saline notes punctuate the highly expressive finish.

There is something nonchalant about this Fôrets, although it needs perhaps just another year in bottle.

(Outstanding) A cool and airy nose freely offers up its aromas of green apple, quinine, shellfish and lemon zest. The utterly delicious but solidly intense flavors are sleek and mineral-infused while displaying very fine length on the bone-dry, clean and well-balanced finale. This too is very promising, indeed it's even better than it usually is, and should develop well over the next decade plus.
